Cranberry sauce | Holiday Special

Cranberry sauce reminds of Thanksgiving for every American! Growing up in India, never heard about until I moved to states decade ago. Now that my kids are first generation American and are Growing up ask me for Whats cooking for our Thanksgiving dinner. My boy never asked me about it until last year...Now that he asked how could I ever deny his request! 
So here it is after going thru multiple recipes online, I curated this my version of Cranberry sauce , do try out and let me know how you liked it. Kids loved it! 



Ingredients
2 cups cranberry
1/3 cup water
1/3 brown sugar
1 apple peeled and puree
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder


Procedure
Clean and pick 2 cups of cranberry.
Take a skillet , Add Sugar water and cranberry and bring it to nice boil.


In about 5-7 min the cranberry will start to split

At this point add , pureed apple to it. And some spice of your choice. I have used cinnamon.


Mix well and bring to to boil on slow frame. until desired consistency is achieved.


Let it cool down, you can keep it refrigerated and enjoy for several weeks. 

Enjoy as a sides with your veggies, on cakes or sandwiches.
