Eggless Chocolate Oats Cake|No refined sugar
Looking Healthy , Sugar Free , Flourless (no maida/ no whole wheat ) cake ? Then you have come to the right place. :)
We love our deserts. Rain or shine we need to satisfy our sweet tooth craving. We love our Indian desserts, ice cream, chocolates or cookies , small bite after dinner is kind of mandatory.
That is the whole reason why I try to incorporate healthy grains in my deserts so that it's at least a little guilty.
Oats is one such fabulous grain I've been using a lot of my savory dishes. I keep replacing the all purpose or wheat flour. I use Oats even to make my pancake batter mix and keep it for an instant use. I love doing that.

This is the 1st time I made a cake out of oats flour . I am calling it the cake as I intended to make a brownie but it actually turned out to be a fabulous cake recipe.
I have taken inspiration from a fellow Blogger friend madaboutcookingwithrupali.com.
But I have modified it to my preferences. I have used Jaggery as a sweetener instead of using Brown sugar or refined sugar.
Ingredients:
Old fashioned oats flour – 1 1/2 cup
Cocoa powder – 1/4 cup
Jaggery powder (gud)– 1 cup
Yogurt – 3/4 cup
Oil – 1/4 cup
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
Choco chips – 1/4 cup
A pinch of salt
Procedure.
I have used a blender to make the batter all-in-one pot super super easy.
Take a blender adding oats and grind to a fine powder in the measure the 1/2 cup of flour from the oats .I am using not the quick cooking oats but the steel cut oats old fashioned.
To this powder add the rest of the ingredients . Chocolate powder, baking powder, baking soda and give it a quick pulse.
You don't want to over mix it. It will be little thick so now add few tablespoons of milk .
The batter is gonna be a little thicker than the usual cake battle
Pour the batter on a greased pan and put keep it in a preheated oven at 350 F
You can top it with some chopped nuts if you like.
Bake at 25 to 30 minutes again based on the your size. The time temperature will vary but it will start to leave side and will smell divine. Thats when you know its done.
Over baking will cause it to crumble.
After few mins, turn and it it out of pan.
See how porous it looks.
Enjoy it will warm or drizzle some chocolate syrup with sides of scooped icecream.
