Airfried Falafal

Falafel is part of middle eastern cuisine. They are essentially garbanzo beans fritters with beautiful flavors. First time I ate them was in streets of New York but I must say the best ones till date are the ones my friend took us to a place in Dubai...absolutely moist yet crunchy and oh so flavorful...This is my version of these little balls of goodness..yes no onion no garlic version always...and yes did I mention that I air-fried them? You could always deep fry them as the original version.
You could make eat them as is, with hummus or make a Falafel wrap...

Ingredients
 2 cups Garbanzo beans
Chilli
Celery
Parsley leaves
Cilantro
Ginger
Sesame seeds
Lemon juice
Salt

Oil for deep frying / Airfrier

Procedure

Wash and soak the garbanzo beans overnight or at least 8-12 hrs. Do NOT boil them.

Once they double in size remove the excess water and leave it aside.
Take some cilantro, parsley (this gives that much needed punch), ginger, chilli.

In a food processor or a mixer grind every thing into a coarse paste. Add some sesame, salt and lemon juice into it.

Do not add any extra water. Make them into small balls.

Greece the balls with some oil and Airfry  then for 35 mins at 370 F

Nice golden brown crunchy Falafal is ready!

Enjoy with salad, make your own wrap like I made or eat with your hummus!
