Crispy Soya Sticks| Air fried Snack

Snacks!! Munchies! who does not like eating the snacks mid morning or with a cup of tea..Well I am no different. But if there is healthy guilt free snack options available then why skip it ? Right..:) This is one of my favorite Soy Sticks super healthy snacking option :)

Well, Growing in India , I  used to love variety of chips found in a store named Hot chips. They used to sell different/unique Chips and with different types of flours. After coming to the States I used to  get them parceled or anybody traveling from India used to get them. Now with this Covid times we haven't traveled for a year n half  so finally I thought to give it a try.

What better snack than this to try it on in my air fryer which had been using extensively these days. This is similar to the Chakli  but from the soy flour. nice crunchy and absolutely tempting.

I've done with air fryer but I am sure that in case you do not have an air fryer you could always go ahead and deep fry or bake it as necessary. Do try this healthy snack and let me know what you think.

2 cups soy flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Spices of your choice( i used spice mix checked attached picture)
3 tbp spoon oil

Extra Seasoning ( highly recommended)
Kashmiri red chilli powder
Blacksalt

Procedure

I have used this soya bean flour easily available in any grocery store.

Take flour + salt + spice mixture  +oil  and mix well. Add water slowly and make it into medium hard  dough. Let it rest for few mins.

Take the chakli maker as shown in the picture.
Scroll to bottom if you don't have the
Chakli maker handy for tips/hack 😉

I have used my Gourmia Airfrier  . Line up the sticks and slightly drizzle oil.

350 F for 7 mins. Just shake the basket midway.

Once done generously Sprinkle the extra Seasoning on top .
I also drizzled little ghee / clarified butter on the top  so that Seasoning coats well and the soy sticks don't free extremely dry.

Do try it out and like my page if your are inspired. Thanks!
