Easy Mix Paratha

Parathas are Indian breads which are made with whole wheat flour on skillet, pan seared. There is one variety which is stuffed and another is pan rolled thicker,  specially gujarati household had another variation of same , which some what triangular ..but that for another post.

This one I call it my lazy paratha , since I am not stuffing but kneading my dough with potatoes,  peas and paneer. So I tried to elevate this simple recipe by playing with shapes for my toddler! Whats not to love about shapes 🟨🟡🔺️❤

Ingredients
1 Boiled potato
Grated Paneer/ Cottage cheese
Boil Peas
Cilantro
Whole Wheat flour
Oil to add and fry parathas
Black sesame ( optional)
Spice Mix
Salt

Procedure
In a bowl add boiled and smashed potatoes , paneer grated, boiled and pureed peas, chopped cilantro

Add spices of you choice. I have used chilli, salt, rock salt, cumin and Coriander powder.

Add whole wheat flour,  oil  water and keep a stiff dough.

Knead well and let it rest for 15 mins before you start working on it.

Make medium size balls and roll them thick

You could use some black sesame seeds for additional flavors and the effect while you roll.

On a hot pan cook them well on both sides until golden, apply ghee while you cook them.

For shapes I used pizza cutter to give them shaped before roasting them on skillet.

Serve with bondi raita , pickle 😋 😍
